Like most of the world right now, British Columbia is battling the coronavirus. The province has enacted measures such as social distancing, restrictions on gatherings, and the closing of non-essential businesses to try to slow down the spread and flatten the curve. While there is some evidence that these initial measures are having an impact, it appears as though this virus will affect our daily lives for the foreseeable future.

Many people were involved in real estate transactions when this outbreak hit. Some people were planning to move, or they are wondering if they can still buy or sell a house in the era of coronavirus. Given the general uncertainty around real estate, it seemed fitting to do a post on the status of BC real estate and what professionals, such as myself, are doing in this crisis to keep everyone safe.

If you're looking to prepare your Victoria, BC home to put on the market, your agent will eventually need to take photos. These photos will entice would-be buyers to come and look at your property, so they need to look fantastic. Some sellers believe that they need to go all out and hire a staging company for maximum effect. Others might think that taking photos of the house "as-is" will suffice.
